Site clearance (GPMB) for the Hanoi - Quang Ninh high-speed railway project in Yen Tu ward is being quickly implemented, with working groups actively propagating and mobilizing people to hand over land. Up to now, 155/243 households have been counted, Yen Tu ward is determined to complete GPMB work ahead of schedule.
Mr. Bui Duc Anh - Vice Chairman of Yen Tu Ward People's Committee said that site clearance work began before the groundbreaking ceremony (April 12, 2026), and the entire political system has been mobilized. Yen Tu Ward sets a target to complete 100% of inventory work in May, approve the residential land compensation plan in June, and hand over the site to investors in July or August.
In addition to Yen Tu, other wards such as Mao Khe, Hoang Que, Uong Bi, Dong Mai, Ha An and Tuan Chau are also accelerating site clearance. Quang Ninh province has established a site clearance working group led by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to remove difficulties for localities.
The project requires the recovery of about 273.13ha of land, affecting 1,825 households and 16 organizations. Quang Ninh province plans to allocate about 2,760 billion VND for site clearance work in the period 2026 - 2028, with 2,000 billion VND for 2026.
The high-speed railway project is one of the 22 key projects of Quang Ninh, striving to complete site clearance before September 2026. Other important projects include Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant, Ha Long Xanh Urban Area, Tuan Chau Public Park and coastal connecting transport projects, industrial parks, and seaports.
The total area to be cleared for 22 projects is nearly 8,900ha, affecting nearly 16,000 organizations, households and individuals.
For the remaining workload, Quang Ninh province sets a target to basically complete site clearance for all key projects by September 2026.
