The special art program is organized to celebrate Quang Ninh province becoming a centrally-run city, and also to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).
According to the plan, the special art program will take place from 8:10 PM on August 28, 2026 in the area of 30/10 Square and Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road, belonging to Ha Long and Hong Gai wards.
The event has a scale of about 100,000 delegates, people and tourists attending directly. Of which, about 50,000 people are arranged at 30/10 Square and about 50,000 people at Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road and connecting routes.
The highlight of the program is the central stage designed according to an open model, applying modern rotating stage technology, both serving audiences at the square and connecting with the performance space on the coastal road, on the sea surface and in the air. The organizers also plan to install 25 LED screens and a synchronous sound system along both sides of Tran Quoc Nghien street and the 30/10 Square area, creating conditions for a large number of people and tourists to watch the program from many different locations.
The program will feature high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays combined with artistic fireworks, cruise ship light shows and drone lights.
The entire program is expected to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV), VTVgo, VTV8, VTV9, Newspaper and Radio, Quang Ninh Television, and broadcast on digital platforms and LED screen systems in localities in the province.
In addition to the main art program, Quang Ninh will organize many large-scale cultural and entertainment activities to create a vibrant festival atmosphere at the end of August.
For three days from August 26 to 28, 2026, from 50 to 100 cruise ships will participate in light show performances in Ha Long Bay.
The ships are decorated with synchronous artistic lighting systems, moving in formation along the coastal route from Hon Gai Beach area - Ha Long International Passenger Port to Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, combining music and coastal lighting effects, creating a unique performance space on the bay surface.
On the evening of August 28, in the area of 30/10 Square, a drone light technology performance will take place with many symbolic images such as President Ho Chi Minh, the symbol of Quang Ninh city, famous landscapes, typical works, cultural identity of Quang Ninh people, along with the theme of the art program and the unique values of the locality.
From August 28 to September 2, 2026, on the outside of the Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, opposite 30/10 Square, it will become a large-scale 3D Mapping technology projection space on the shore of Ha Long Bay Heritage.
In parallel with art activities, from August 27 to 28, 2026, the province will also organize a culinary space on Tran Quoc Nghien street and connecting branch roads, introducing typical dishes of Quang Ninh, serving people and tourists.
The series of events is expected not only to make a mark during Quang Ninh becoming a centrally-run city but also to contribute to promoting the image of Quang Ninh's land and people, stimulating tourism demand and attracting a large number of tourists during the National Day holiday September 2.
