Quang Binh - The large amount of vehicles traveling from the South to the North caused National Highway 1 through Gianh Bridge to be congested for more than 2km.

At noon on January 25, Mr. Thanh Cuong (residing in Quang Trach district) said that the large number of vehicles caused a traffic jam of more than 2km at Gianh bridge in the South-North direction.

Mr. Cuong was traveling on National Highway 1 in the South-North direction when he arrived at Bac Trach market (Bo Trach district) at around 11:00 a.m. the same day and encountered a traffic jam. The jam stretched for more than 2km to Gianh bridge.

Currently, there are 3 functional force groups including the Traffic Police Department, Quang Binh Provincial Police, Bo Trach District Traffic Police and Ba Don Town Traffic Police present at the scene to directly coordinate traffic, ensure order and safety for vehicles traveling through this area.

According to the Traffic Police Department, the main cause of the congestion is the large number of people returning home for Tet, putting pressure on Gianh Bridge. Authorities are making efforts to regulate traffic to avoid the risk of affecting the bridge structure and ensuring the safety of people.
