On February 18, speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Phan Thi Minh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District - said that she had drawn up a record to handle the violation against Trang Nguyen Cultural Education Center (legal name is Trang Nguyen Cultural Education Company Limited).
Ms. Minh said that on the afternoon of February 17, the working group visited the Trang Nguyen Cultural Training Center.
At the time of the inspection, the working group discovered 18 primary school students studying on the ground floor, most of whom were studying Vietnamese, with teachers instructing them.
At the same time, it was discovered that this center organized lunch for a few students, but could not present documents related to food safety, food origin and organized sample storage in accordance with regulations.
Working with the working group, the center representative presented the business registration certificate and fire prevention plan documents.
From the actual inspection, the working group confirmed that teaching Vietnamese subjects to primary school students is a violation of the regulations of Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning.
The working group made a record, requested the center to return all primary school students who were teaching about family, remove illegal advertising signs, and strictly comply with closure from the afternoon of February 17 until they are fixed and comply with legal regulations.
"The ward will continue to have documents, requesting the neighborhood and residential group to supervise the closure of this facility. If there are continued violations, the superior agency will be requested to withdraw the license. In the coming time, we will continue to inspect and review the additional teaching facilities operating in the area, and handle violations according to regulations," said Ms.inh.
Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning, effective from February 14.
The Circular stipulates that extra classes for primary school students are not allowed, except in special cases such as: artistic training, sports, life skills training.
