In this campaign, functional forces focus on strictly handling common violations such as: occupying roads and sidewalks for business and trading; stopping and parking vehicles in violation of regulations causing traffic obstruction; placing signs and canopies that obscure the visibility of traffic participants.
Notably, in addition to direct penalties, the inter-sectoral working group also organized recording remote fines for cars parked in violation of regulations to thoroughly handle violations. For vehicles parked causing obstruction and traffic jams but without drivers, functional forces have sealed and towed vehicles to temporary detention places to quickly clear and clear the road surface.
Thanks to drastic involvement, the urban aesthetics situation on the above roads has clearly changed. Many business households have proactively collected goods and dismantled encroached items to restore a safe space for pedestrians.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Kim Nham - Deputy Head of Tang Nhon Phu Ward Police said that the biggest goal of the peak period is to propagate, change awareness and create a habit of self-disciplined compliance for people. "However, for cases that have been reminded but still intentionally violate or re-violate, functional forces will resolutely make records for strict handling, temporarily seize exhibits and vehicles in accordance with regulations, the spirit is to handle thoroughly and without forbidden zones," Lieutenant Colonel Nham emphasized.
After the peak period, functional forces will continue to maintain closed patrols and controls in the area. At the same time, the working group will hand over the roads that have been positively transformed to local forces to directly manage, determined to closely monitor and prevent the situation of re-encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks.
