14 year old boy in Son La swept away by flood while fishing in a stream

    Son La - Authorities are actively searching for missing victims swept away by floodwaters in Sop Cop commune.

    On the evening of August 2, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Sop Cop commune, Son La province - confirmed that an incident had just occurred in the area where a resident was swept away by floodwaters.

    According to initial information, the victim was V.T.V (born in 2011, residing in Sop Cop commune).

    Earlier, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, V went to Nam Ban stream, in Sop Cop village, to fish. Due to negligence, the fish caught at the foot of the fish and fell into the stream, missing.

    Immediately after receiving the news, Sop Cop commune and other forces urgently searched and rescued.

    As of 7:00 p.m. on August 2, the victim had not been found.
