These days, the Tan An belt (Tay Ninh) becomes prominent because of the red color of the national flag. On both sides of the road, flags are hung regularly along the power poles, extending from the area connecting road 834B in My An commune to Vam Co Tay bridge, Tan An ward.
Not only creating a highlight for the route, thousands of flags also contribute to spreading a solemn and proud atmosphere to celebrate the 81st anniversary of National Day September 2.
17 km covered in colored flags
According to records, nearly 2,000 national flags are hung along both sides of the road at a distance of about 30 m. The red flag strip stands out in the urban space and the suburbs, creating a special image on a 17-km journey.
Flag hanging is carried out in coordination with localities with funding mobilized from local socialization sources.
Red color spreads pride
From above, the row of flags forms a prominent red stripe embracing the road. Interspersed among the national flags are banners, panels, and propaganda posters, contributing to creating a bustling atmosphere during the country's major holiday.
For local people, the image of the red flag with a yellow star flying every day not only beautifies the landscape but also evokes historical traditions and love for the homeland.
The "flag line" is therefore not simply a decoration activity during the holidays. Thousands of flags flying together on a long road have created an intuitive image of national pride, contributing to educating the young generation and making the urban space more lively.
