According to Sam Son Ward Police, on the evening of September 29, 2025, the authorities inspected, discovered and arrested a number of vehicles that took advantage of the storm to illegally exploit and transport sand on Ho Xuan Huong Street, Sam Son Ward.
At the time of inspection, the driver could not present documents related to the vehicle, goods as well as a mineral exploitation license.
Currently, the vehicle and all the evidence have been taken to the ward police headquarters for handling according to the provisions of law.

Sam Son Ward Police recommend that organizations and individuals absolutely do not participate in illegal mining, transportation, or trading of minerals.
When detecting illegal sand mining activities, people should promptly notify the police or local authorities for handling.

Sam Son Ward Police will continue to increase patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations, contributing to maintaining security, order, and traffic safety in the area.

Previously, storms and floods caused deep flooding on Ho Xuan Huong Lake. The waves brought a large amount of sand onto the road, the water receded, leaving a sand mass of more than 50cm thick on the asphalt road.
