Despite the high passenger volume, operations at Terminal T1 are still organized in a flexible direction. The arrangement of personnel, check-in counters, departure gates and luggage receiving areas are adjusted to meet travel needs during peak days.
To limit waiting time at the airport, passengers are recommended to proactively check in online through the airline's website or application before arriving at the airport. Completing check-in steps in advance helps passengers reduce queuing time at check-in counters, especially during peak hours.
According to the exploitation plan for the National Day holiday, from August 29th to the end of September 2nd, Noi Bai International Airport is expected to serve more than 531,000 passengers, an increase of about 22% compared to the same period in 2025.

Faced with a sharp increase in travel demand, Noi Bai airport has implemented many plans to ensure passenger service, maintain stable operations and limit congestion in terminal areas.
The airport increases personnel at passenger service locations, maximizing the operation of check-in counters, aircraft exits and luggage conveyor belts. Functional forces also monitor passenger traffic to proactively regulate and allocate personnel at each time.
In the traffic area in front of the station, vehicles entering and leaving are also flexibly regulated to limit congestion, especially during hours with high passenger volume.
Along with airport solutions, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has increased the coordination capacity at Noi Bai from 42 to 44 slots/hour in the time frame from 6:00 AM to 11:55 PM.
Increasing coordination capacity helps airlines have more conditions to arrange flights, meeting the increasing travel demand during National Day, and at the same time contributing to allocating reasonable operating traffic during the day.
With passenger volume expected to increase by more than 20% compared to the same period, proactively completing online procedures, arriving at the airport on time as recommended and complying with the instructions of service forces will help passengers reduce waiting time and reduce pressure at the terminal during peak hours.
