According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on May 27, the works within the construction area of the Pham Tu - Road 70 intersection have basically been demolished and dismantled.
The area around the project is fenced with corrugated iron. Some types of machinery and vehicles have been brought to the construction site by the contractor to serve the construction work.


Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (Thanh Liet ward, Hanoi) said that his family has lived near the Pham Tu - Road 70 intersection for many years and often witnessed prolonged traffic jams, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.
There are days when we only travel a few hundred meters, but it takes almost half an hour. We expect that when the intersection is completed, travel will be more convenient, reducing dust and congestion every day" - Mr. Hoa said.
Ms. Tran Thi Mai (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi) shared that although the site clearance process has affected the lives of many households, people all hope that the project will be accelerated to soon be effective.
According to Ms. Mai, the 70th Street area currently has a very high density of vehicles, and traffic jams and collisions often occur.
People hope that the project will be completed thoroughly, avoiding prolonged construction causing further congestion and affecting daily life" - Ms. Mai said.


The traffic intersection project between road No. 1 belonging to the project to invest in the construction of a traffic road surrounding the Chu Van An memorial area with road 70 (Phan Trong Tue street) - Chu Van An road project (Pham Tu road junction - road 70) has a total investment of 1,921.12 billion VND (land clearance is 767.56 billion VND).
Of which, the value of the Pham Tu road intersection with road 70 is 785.974 billion VND; the value of the BT contract is 1,551.301 billion VND.
The project started in 2014, has been put into operation since 2019, route 1 opened to traffic with road 70 from January 22, 2020.
The Pham Tu - 70 road intersection was approved in June 2017 but construction was temporarily suspended from 2018 due to problems in site clearance.
By May 2026, site clearance work will be completed by localities and handed over to the investor.


According to the direction of Politburo Member, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang, after having a clean site, the investor and contractor must urgently organize construction; immediately coordinate with relevant units to handle technical infrastructure systems, including 110kV and 220kV high-voltage power lines.
The deadline is to complete the entire intersection before December 31, 2026.
