On June 10, the Volga Pickleball Center sports court at the intersection of Thanh Tinh and Luu Chi Hieu streets (Rach Dua ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was still open to operate, despite being recorded and fined by the local authorities, requesting dismantling.
Previously, in November 2025, Rach Dua Ward People's Committee conducted an inspection at 222 Luu Chi Hieu, making a record of administrative violations against Ms. H.T. T (born in 1990) for the act of organizing the construction of other works without a construction permit as prescribed on an area of 1,200,000m2; illegally building works on agricultural land leading to arbitrary conversion of agricultural land use purposes to non-agricultural land in urban areas... on an area of 2,000m2.
On that basis, Rach Dua Ward People's Committee issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of 75 million VND on Ms. T; forcing the dismantling of the violating construction on an area of 3,200m2.
However, to date, this project is still operating, open to welcome guests normally, and does not comply with the dismantling request of the local government, even though it is only more than 100m away from the Ward People's Committee headquarters.
According to Rach Dua Ward People's Committee, in March 2026, the ward organized an inspection of the compliance with the decision to sanction administrative violations against Ms. H.T. T related to the pickleball court above. Through this, it was noted that Ms. T had paid the fine. As for remedying the consequences (forcing the dismantling of the violating construction), although the locality has propagated and mobilized, no results have been achieved.
Currently, Rach Dua Ward People's Committee is continuing to direct the strict completion of violation handling dossiers in accordance with procedures (including advising on the issuance of coercive decisions, developing plans and options for coercion) to organize implementation immediately after receiving guidance and official conclusions from higher-level competent authorities.
