On April 2, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut inspected the actual compensation and site clearance work of Huong Lo 2 Project (section from National Highway 51 to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway) and requested the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to coordinate with localities where the project passes through to carry out propaganda and mobilize people to hand over the site early to strive to start the project at the end of April 2026.
Previously, on March 5, 2026, Dong Nai province launched Component Project 1, compensation, support, and resettlement of this project. The road has a length of more than 9.4km, invested in a complete scale of 8 lanes, 60m of road boundary, with a total investment of nearly 5,900 billion VND.
Huong Lo 2 project (section from National Highway 51 to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway) is implemented into 2 component projects. In which, Component Project 1, compensation, support and resettlement are implemented with public investment capital with a recovered land area of more than 55ha. Component Project 2, investing in building Huong Lo 2 route according to public-private partnership (PPP) method.
The Huong Lo 2 construction project is one of the key urban infrastructure projects of Dong Nai province, playing an important role in completing the urban transport network. The investment in the route contributes to forming a traffic axis connecting urban areas along the Dong Nai River, synchronous and modern, associated with urban embellishment and urban space development.
When completed, the road will open a new traffic direction, sharing the pressure for National Highway 51, especially the section from the Vung Tau intersection to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
At the same time, creating motivation to promote economic, social, commercial, service and tourism development, improving the quality of life of people and the urban center of the province.
