The Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police, Ministry of Public Security) has just held a conference to develop a Project on planning a data center system to manage, monitor, handle violations and supervise to ensure traffic order and safety (TTATGT).
According to the project, there will be 35 data centers deployed nationwide, aiming to modernize traffic management and reduce the burden of procedures for people.
Major General Do Thanh Binh - Director of the Traffic Police Department - said that when completed, 35 centers will be connected to ministries, branches and linked with databases on driver's health, taxes, customs, transportation business, etc.
And then, traffic participants will not need to carry a driver's license; vehicle registration; vehicle transfer documents, information about the origin, quality of the vehicle... but only need to carry an ID card.
Because this information is already available in the data warehouse and the sectors and authorities are not required to provide these documents.
"Just ask me how much your ID card is, all data related to the vehicle, the driver, and compliance with the law is streamed from this information and displayed" - Major General Do Thanh Binh said.
According to the Director of the Traffic Police Department, there is no such thing as fake documents, fake registrations, or fake insurance when checking information from the database because the traffic police do not check the hard copy of these documents.
