On November 1, Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) said that floods and big waves in recent days have exposed many explosives in the management unit.
After patrolling after the flood, the working group of Trieu Van Border Guard Station discovered in the coastal area of village 6, Trieu Co commune (Quang Tri province) 8 explosives that could be bullets and mines exposed by sand landslides.
These explosives remain after the war, although rusted, could explode at any time.
Immediately afterwards, the unit notified the local authorities, coordinated with functional forces to organize warnings, put up warning signs and propagate to people not to enter dangerous areas.
Trieu Van Border Guard Station has also contacted the Bomb and Mines Disposal Team of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command to handle the situation, ensuring the safety of the people.
