serious landslide at hill, Yang Reh village 4 in Dak Lak

Dak Lak - The hill area of Yang Reh village 4 in Hoa Son commune (Dak Lak) experienced serious landslides with a landslide of 1m more and many long cracks.

On the evening of November 24, Mr. Huynh Viet Trung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune (Dak Lak) - said that the hill area of Yang Reh village 4 had cracks and landslides.

Up to now, a large area of land has slid about 1m deeper than the original edge, accompanied by many long cracks, posing a great risk of landslides, directly threatening National Highway 27.

Faced with the urgent situation, the People's Committee of the commune temporarily relocated households living at the foot of the hill to safe places, and at the same time arranged the commune police force to monitor and guard the surrounding area. However, due to continued rain, the risk of landslides continues to increase, beyond the local self-treatment capacity.

The Commune People's Committee has recommended that the provincial authorities urgently send a team of geological and technical experts to survey the scene, assess the landslide, determine the cause of the landslide and propose temporary and long-term reinforcement plans.
