On July 1, according to information from the Road Maintenance Management Board (Department of Construction): Due to heavy rain lasting from the night of June 30 to the morning of July 1, landslides appeared on Provincial Road 155 (Lao Cai - Sa Pa), causing soil and rocks to overflow onto the road at Km12+600, National Highway 4D, the Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT Toll Station area, causing traffic disruption.
The landslide not only caused traffic jams but also damaged many items of the Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT Toll Station.
A representative of the Road Maintenance Management Board (Department of Construction) said: Immediately after the landslide occurred, the unit deployed 3 excavators and human resources to fix it.
Due to the large amount of soil and rock at the landslide site while it was still raining, it was difficult to repair the damage. It is expected that the first step of the road will not be opened to traffic until noon on July 1.
