Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just held a regular press conference to inform the press about the socio-economic situation in July 2025 and the activities of local authorities at both levels after one month of operation.
Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that after 1 month of operation according to the 2-level local government model, despite some difficulties, the political system and apparatus of local government agencies have gradually operated stably and effectively.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, after 1 month of officially operating the 2-level local government model, administrative work has many bright spots.
The provincial level received more than 23,000 new records, and more than 17,000 records were resolved, with 93% on time. The commune level received more than 74,000 records, processed more than 54,900 records, reaching a rate of 97% on time.
Currently, on the National Public Service Portal, the service quality of Lam Dong province is ranked 9/34.
Regarding personnel, more than 2,000 cases of cadres, civil servants and public employees have had their leave benefits resolved (Decree 178 and Decree 67) with a total cost of more than 1,276 billion VND.
In addition to outstanding results, the commune level still faces many challenges: Lack of professional personnel, old administrative equipment, limited infrastructure and some software systems are still faulty and not connected stably.
To support the commune level, on the afternoon of August 1, more than 250 provincial civil servants were seconded to the grassroots level for 3 months.
Currently, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee is directing to continue reviewing, transferring civil servants, supplementing equipment, completing internal procedures and organizing training courses. Departments and branches are required to synthesize difficulties from the grassroots, issue guidance documents and continue to increase human resources when necessary.
Initially, the 2-level local government model in Lam Dong has promoted efficiency in operation and coordination between levels. Lam Dong province is actively removing bottlenecks in infrastructure and human resources to ensure smooth operation and effective service to the people.
