The inspection team of Lam Dong Provincial Department of Construction has just inspected the progress of the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B.
The delegation noted the current status of the sections where the site has not been handed over and clarified the reason for the delay.

Mr. Bui Sy Cuong - Executive Director of the XD-01 package said that the lack of full handover of clean land has greatly affected the construction progress. Meanwhile, the weather is in the rainy season, the remaining construction time is only about 5 months.
Currently, the entire route is still stuck with about 6.3km of site clearance. In which, the power line system, water pipes, many electric poles have not been relocated...

Nearly 1km of the first section of the route through Luong Son intersection has not been handed over the site, causing the contractor to not be able to construct the main route and bridge.
Mr. Cuong added: "To basically complete the project in 2025, Project Management Board 5 has proposed that Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee direct relevant units to promptly complete the procedures and hand over the site to the project before August 15".

At the on-site inspection, Mr. Le Minh Tien - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province said that after the on-site inspection, the Department will have a comprehensive report on the project progress to promptly remove obstacles and speed up the project progress.

Previously, the Ministry of Construction sent a document to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, requesting to speed up the site clearance progress for the National Highway 28B renovation and upgrade project.
The Ministry of Construction also warned of risks for the project if the locality does not complete the handover of the site in August 2025 for construction.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B is over 68km long. The total investment is more than 1,400 billion VND and is expected to be completed before December 31, 2025. To date, the project has been handed over about 61km of site, reaching 91%.
The project is invested by the Vietnam Road Administration, assigning Project Management Board 5 to directly manage the project.
