Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper on August 15, a representative of the Ministry of Construction said that on the morning of August 19, 250 projects nationwide will simultaneously start construction and inauguration. Central destination: at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi city.
Reporting on the preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Ministry of Construction said as follows:
Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 57/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2025 and Official Dispatch No. 129/CD-TTg dated August 7, 2025 on preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of works, up to now, the Ministry of Construction has received reports from 34 provinces, cities, 17 ministries, branches and 18 corporations and general companies.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction has reviewed and compiled 250 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible for inauguration and commencement of construction, of which 89 projects and works are eligible for inauguration; 161 projects and works are eligible for commencement of construction.
Of the projects to be started and inaugurated this time, there are 59 transport infrastructure projects; 44 civil - urban projects; 57 industrial projects; 36 technical infrastructure projects; 22 social housing projects, 6 agricultural and rural development projects; 3 cultural and sports projects; 12 educational projects; 1 national defense project; 10 health projects.
Of the 250 projects, there are 8 important national projects, 46 group A projects; 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects.
With a total investment of: VND 1,280,000 billion. Of which, State capital with 129 projects with VND 478,000 billion, accounting for 37% of the total and 121 other capital projects: VND 802,000 billion, accounting for 63% of the total (including 05 FDI projects with VND 54,000 billion in capital.
Typical examples include the project of a factory to produce speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices of Tonly Electronics Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. in Dong Nai Industrial Park, Quang Ninh province; the Smart City project of the Northern Smart City Development Investment Joint Stock Company in Hanoi City; Pepsico's food factory in Ninh Binh province; the investment project to build and operate industrial park infrastructure of WHA Smart Technology in Thanh Hoa province; radial car tire factory of Cofo Vietnam Tire Company Limited in Thanh Hoa province).
Of the total 250 projects and works eligible for inauguration and groundbreaking, 80 online and live television stations will be selected, the remaining projects will be held simultaneously.
