On January 8, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh just signed Decision No. 27/QD-UBND on authorizing the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to resolve administrative procedures and perform a number of state management tasks under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee in the fields of journalism, publishing, printing and distribution, broadcasting, television and electronic information.
According to the decision, the Provincial People's Committee authorized the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to resolve 23 administrative procedures. In which, the press sector has 10 procedures; the publishing, printing and distribution sector has 8 procedures; the press and publishing sector has 2 procedures; the radio, television and electronic information sector has 3 procedures.
Along with that, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is authorized to suspend operations, revoke confirmation letters of notification of social network service provision according to regulations; receive dossiers for placing representative offices, operations of resident reporters of press agencies in the province; inspect the operating conditions of representative offices and request the termination of operations if they do not meet the conditions according to legal regulations.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is also responsible for receiving notices of termination of operations of representative offices and resident reporters of press agencies; advising the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue decisions to announce the list of administrative procedures, approve internal procedures and electronic procedures within the scope of management.
The term of authorization is from the date the decision takes effect to March 1, 2027, unless relevant legal regulations change.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the correct implementation of the authorized content, be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the assigned tasks and promptly report arising issues to seek direction.
