Due to the lack of sentence markings in the layout, the notice board has caused many readers to misunderstand that "drug of unknown origin, fake medicine belongs to... Department of Health".
Immediately after receiving the feedback, the leaders of the Department of Health requested drug businesses to adjust the content to avoid causing panic among the people.
Currently, the accurate content is listed as: "To reflect the establishments selling drugs of unknown origin and counterfeit drugs, please contact the Department of Health via 0232.3822.562". The Department also confirmed that this is a hotline to receive information about fake drugs and poor quality drugs circulating on the market.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, social networks spread the image of a signboard on the glass door, with the words: "phone number reflecting unknown origin of medicine, fake medicine of the Department of Health", along with the phone number.
The expression makes many people misunderstand that drugs of unknown origin and fake drugs are "of the Department of Health", leading to public confusion.
