Provincial Road 107C project (from Chieng Khay commune, Quynh Nhai district to Nam So commune, Tan Uyen district, Lai Chau province) was approved by the People's Committee of Son La province under Decision No. 503/QD-UBND dated March 5, 2025.
This is a Group B project with a total investment of VND245 billion, invested by the People's Committee of Quynh Nhai district, and the Quynh Nhai District Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned to represent the investor to manage the project.
Of the total investment, the cost of site clearance is more than 25 billion VND, the construction cost is nearly 170 billion VND, the project management cost is more than 2.6 billion VND, the consulting cost is more than 23 billion VND, other costs are more than 6.1 billion VND, the remaining nearly 18.6 billion VND is the contingency cost.
According to Lao Dong, on June 18, 2025, the Quynh Nhai District Construction Investment Project Management Board posted a notice of Invitation for bids for Package No. 09: Construction and installation of the upgraded and renovated section.
The above construction package was widely bid online, with an estimated price of more than 49 billion VND from the provincial budget land use fee revenue. The package implementation period is 900 days.
This project will invest in the construction of a road that meets the standards of a grade V mountainous road, with a total length of 21 km (renovating and upgrading the first section of the route to about 8.9 km; opening a new section of the last section to about 12.1 km).
The starting point of the route is in Pan village, Chieng Khay commune (Quynh Nhai district), the end point is in Na Sun village, Chieng Khay commune (bored with Nam So commune, Tan Uyen district, Lai Chau province).
The route is being implemented on the basis of renovating and upgrading the existing roadbed, combined with opening a new one to ensure economic - technical rationality, in accordance with current processes and regulations.
It is expected that the capital allocation period in 2024 - 2025 will be about 73 billion VND, and in 2026 - 2027 will be about more than 172 billion VND.
According to Decision No. 503 of the People's Committee of Son La province, the project invested in construction will form a road connecting traffic between Son La province and Lai Chau province, facilitating trade of goods and developing the economy and society.
Along with that, gradually completing the goal of developing the National tourism area in the Son La hydroelectric reservoir area, developing raw material areas for production according to the orientation set by the Resolution of the 15th Son La Provincial Party Congress, completing the criteria for new rural districts
