On the morning of December 19, Son La province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Chieng Dong Water Plant Project and the project to renovate and construct new works within the Provincial Party Committee's premises.
These are two key and practical projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Chieng Dong Water Plant project is invested by Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of 230 billion VND, capacity of 14,000 m3/day and night, implementation period of 2025-2026.
The project is built on an area of about 1.2 hectares in Xum village, Chieng Mung commune, with a transmission pipeline about 20 km long, providing clean water to about 10,000 households in Chieng Mai, Chieng Mung, Mai Son communes and Chieng Sinh ward. The water source is treated with modern technology, ensuring the regulations of the Ministry of Health.
According to Mr. Tran Quyet Chien, Director of Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company, the project aims to create a stable and safe water source for daily life and production; at the same time, gradually reduce groundwater exploitation, overcome pollution risks, and expand the water supply range along National Highway 6. Up to now, the project has completed legal procedures and is ready to implement construction according to plan.

The project to renovate and rebuild works within the Provincial Party Committee's premises is invested by the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Urban Development Projects.

The project is deployed on an area of over 4.5 hectares, including the construction of a new 7-storey office building and auxiliary works; renovating and upgrading existing items, completing a synchronous technical infrastructure system.

The simultaneous start of construction of key projects demonstrates the determination of Son La province in accelerating public investment progress, creating momentum for infrastructure development, contributing to the completion of socio-economic goals, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
