From June 2 to 11, the city recorded 3 new outbreaks in Co Puc village (Chieng Ngan commune), Ut Luong village (Chieng Co commune) and Ne To village (Hua La commune). The People's Committee of Son La City has issued a decision to announce the African swine fever in the above 3 communes, and at the same time directed the implementation of emergency measures to contain and handle outbreaks.
According to the Son La City Agricultural Service Center, the unit has coordinated with the authorities of the communes to organize statistics on the number of pigs in the epidemic area, instruct farmers to clean and disinfect with lime powder and chemicals.
The authorities also signed a commitment with owners of livestock establishments not to slaughter, trade, or transport pigs and pig products into and out of the epidemic area during the epidemic that has not been controlled. The work of monitoring, propagating and handling violations has been strictly implemented.
Currently, Son La City is continuing to closely monitor the situation, not allowing the epidemic to spread, affecting people's lives and livelihoods.
