Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Truong Quoc Bao, Head of Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Project Management Board (Hanoi Agricultural and Technical Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board) said that it is expected that before September 20, the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant's treatment water will be replenished into the To Lich River with a flow of about 200,000m3/day and night.
Previously, from August 15, the construction unit completed the collection of all 245 discharge gates on the To Lich River, ensuring that wastewater was brought to the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant for thorough treatment.
"Currently, the plant is being operated and treated with a capacity of about 200,000 - 230,000m3 per day and night, ensuring the treatment of all wastewater collected from the To Lich River according to the correct process" - Mr. Bao said.

The representative of the West Lake Management Board also said that the pilot project of flooded planting facilities to collect water from the West Lake wastewater treatment plant to supplement water for West Lake has also been basically completed.
From September 9, the To Lich River will be replenished with water from West Lake via the HDPE pipeline with a diameter of D1200.
The replenishment of water from West Lake can be operated regularly on a cyclical basis and ensures that the water from West Lake does not converge with wastewater in TE3 canal.
The dam in the Quang bridge area has also been in operation to maintain the river water level. The water of To Lich River has now turned clear green, less foul smell.
"Along with the water source from West Lake, treated water from Yen Xa will create a flow on To Lich River with a flow of about 200,000m3/day and night. At that time, To Lich River will maintain a stable water level of 3.5m," Mr. Bao informed.
The Hanoi People's Committee also plans to start the investment project to build a park on both sides of the To Lich River on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).
