On the afternoon of February 2nd, Dat Mui Commune Police (Ca Mau province) said that a labor accident had just occurred in the area, killing one person. The victim is Mr. L.B.A (49 years old, residing in Mui hamlet, Dat Mui commune).
According to initial information, at about 7 am on the same day, Mr. A and a friend came to the land area under Rach Bao Nho bridge slope - where his family's boat was anchored - to repair the vehicle due to 2 holes in the stern.

Here, Mr. A used a tie, joined into 3 to pull the boat's rudder up high to crawl down to patch the hole. The back of the boat's rudder, near the engine propeller, was temporarily supported by a wooden stick.
At about 9 o'clock, while Mr. A was crawling down to grind the hole to patch it, the rope suddenly broke, causing the boat's rudder to collapse, hitting Mr. A who was below.
Discovering the incident, people around quickly raised the boat to bring the victim out, but Mr. A died on the spot. The victim was heavily crushed in the head by the boat, causing a skull fracture.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Dat Mui Commune Police were present at the scene to record and verify the cause of the accident according to regulations.
