At about 10:00 AM on January 28, at km32+708 National Highway 9, passing through Ra Lu village (Huong Hiep commune, Quang Tri province), a traffic accident occurred between a sleeper bus with license plate UN-11xx and a car with license plate 74D-00x.xx.
At the above time, sleeper bus UN-11xx driven by Mr. Duong Thanh Bich (born 1974, residing in Hung Loc commune, Hue), traveling in the direction of Dong Ha - Lao Bao, collided with a 74D-00x.xx cargo truck driven by Mr. N.Q.C (born 1973, residing in Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri) traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident killed Mr. N.Q.C and Ms. N.T.G (residing in Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province) on the spot. In addition, 1 person was slightly injured and 2 others were injured and taken to the emergency room.
Immediately after the incident occurred, functional forces were present at the scene to protect the scene, divert traffic and support taking the victims to the emergency room.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
