On the evening of September 11, the air on the La Son - Tuy Loan (Da Nang) expressway through Mui Trau tunnel suddenly became chaotic due to the equivalent of a terrible collision.
At about 7:50 p.m., a passenger bus with license plate 17H-01833 traveling towards Hue suddenly collided with a truck with license plate 89C-18032 and a truck with license plate 73C-16120. The extremely strong impact caused the front of the passenger bus and the truck 89C-18032 to stick tightly together, seriously deforming. Inside the bus, many passengers were injured, screaming in panic and trapped in the rubble.


Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police immediately mobilized the KV 6 Fire Prevention and Rescue Team and the Special Fire Prevention and Rescue Team to urgently arrive at the scene.
Here, the soldiers quickly broke the glass doors, created an escape route and brought 11 passengers out safely amid many people's concerns. At the same time, another team continuously sprayed water to cool the leaked fuel area, preventing the risk of a fire or explosion that could happen at any time.
After the passengers were taken out of the trapped area and urgently rescued, the authorities rushed to rescue the bus driver who was now trapped in a crushed cabin, with both legs of the steering wheel and debris tightly pressed.
After nearly 2 hours of tireless efforts, using specialized equipment to cut and destroy, at 10:10 p.m. the same day, the rescue force was able to get the driver out in a state of serious injury. The victim was quickly handed over to the medical team for emergency treatment.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
