A chain collision between 5 vehicles on the Mai Son - Tam Diep tunnel expressway through Ninh Binh injured 1 person.

According to a report from Road Management Office I.1, at about 3:30 pm on March 22, at Km279+700 of the Mai Son - Tam Diep tunnel expressway (section through Yen Son ward, Ninh Binh province) in the direction of Thanh Hoa - Hanoi, a chain traffic accident occurred between 5 vehicles.

The collision injured 1 person. In terms of infrastructure, 2 soft guardrails were bent and deformed, and 1 guardrail column was tilted.

The vehicles involved include 2 trucks with license plates 89H-03597, 89H-08291 and 3 container trucks with license plates 37H-07511, 37RM-00107, 29H-03846 (trailer 29RM-00090), and 1 car with license plate number 30L-66187.

All are damaged to varying degrees.

According to scene records, the accident occurred on lane 1 and lane 2 in the direction of Hanoi, as a chain collision.

The cause is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.

At the time of the incident, vehicles were still traveling through the remaining lane, and there was no prolonged congestion.

The traffic safety system in the area is complete, the road surface ensures operating conditions.

Immediately after the accident, functional forces were present at the scene, organized traffic diversion, ensured safety and coordinated to handle the incident.
