On the afternoon of January 4, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, the section passing through Xuan Que commune, Dong Nai province, towards Ho Chi Minh City, a chain collision occurred between 7 cars. Fortunately, the chain traffic accident did not cause any injuries, and the cars were heavily damaged and dented.
The accident occurred at a time when the number of vehicles after the 2026 New Year holiday rushed in, leading to serious congestion.
Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team No. 6, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the highway management unit and related units to quickly handle the scene, create a clear flow on the highway for vehicles to move conveniently, and at the same time divert vehicles according to other routes, avoiding being pushed onto the highway causing more serious congestion.
