At around 10:00 p.m. on October 3, at Quang Phu airport (Nghia Lo ward, Quang Ngai province), a white taxi suddenly caught fire. This area is quite dark and deserted. When the fire broke out, people nearby discovered it and immediately reported it to the authorities.
Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force quickly arrived at the scene to handle the incident. The victim was taken to Quang Ngai General Hospital for emergency treatment.
According to the reporter's records at the scene on the evening of October 3, the entire interior of the taxi was almost burned down. The police force blocked off the scene, conducted an autopsy and investigated the cause of the fire.
On the morning of October 4, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of Nghia Lo Ward People's Committee said that due to being treated for dengue fever, he could not fully grasp the information of the incident.
According to the reporter's source, the victim in the fire was Mr. N.T.H (40 years old). When given emergency care, the victim was burned in the upper body and face. When examining, the smell of gasoline was felt on the victim's body.
It is known that in 2018, the Ministry of National Defense issued an official dispatch to transfer 3 defense lands to Quang Ngai province for management and use, including Quang Phu Airport.
