    Dien Bien - After a serious collision between a car and a taxi that occurred in the early morning of April 30, the taxi driver died on the spot.

    At about 2:15 a.m. on April 30, at Km85+195 on National Highway 279, through Thanh Xuong Commune, Dien Bien District, a serious traffic accident occurred between two cars.

    According to initial information, a car with license plate 27A-074.93 (driver's identity not yet determined) traveling in the direction of Dien Bien - Tay Trang border gate collided strongly with a taxi with license plate 27H-005.50 (driver's identity unknown) driving from the crossroads to National Highway 279.

    The consequences of the accident caused the taxi driver to die on the spot. The incident also caused serious traffic congestion in the area.

    Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Deputy Director of Road Joint Stock Company 226, Dien Bien province said: "Immediately after receiving the information, the unit's forces were present at the scene to coordinate with the authorities to regulate traffic, ensure safety and support the handling of the incident".

    The cause of the accident is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
