On the morning of November 7, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that Gia Lai province is a locality that is "fully facing" storm No. 13 with very strong intensity (level 11-14).
Thanks to careful preparation, the authorities promptly rescued nearly 200 people at the time of the storm's landfall.

According to Mr. Tuan, the storm killed 2 people. The province is continuing to count the damage, initially it is estimated that more than 3,000 houses had their roofs blown off; the electricity system and transportation were paralyzed; the damage to crops, livestock and poultry was very large. The total initial damage is estimated at over VND5,000 billion.

After the storm passed, at about 2:20 a.m. on November 7, the Provincial Military Command coordinated to clear National Highway 1A through Phu My commune. The authorities also quickly fixed fallen trees on this national highway.

By the morning of November 7, all streets and alleys in the center of Quy Nhon (Quy Nhon Nam and Quy Nhon wards) were in the same scene of desolation and trees falling overnight after being devastated by storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13.

Along roads such as Tay Son, Hoang Van Thu, Ngo May, Nguyen Trung Tin, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Xuan Dieu..., a series of large trees were uprooted, blocking the road, causing traffic congestion. Many restaurants and cafes had their roofs blown off or completely collapsed.
