On January 11, the leader of the Rescue and Relief Team of Nha Trang Bay Management Board said that at about 10 am this morning in the Tran Phu beach area (near Sailing Club, Nha Trang ward), a male tourist residing in Lam Dong province was in danger while swimming and showed signs of being swept away by large waves.
People discovered the incident and quickly approached to support the victim.
However, due to large waves and strong sea waves, bringing victims ashore faced many difficulties, posing a risk of unsafety for both the victims and the on-site rescue force.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Rescue and Relief Team urgently arrived at the scene, coordinating with the hotel force to deploy a rescue plan.
Using specialized life-saving equipment, functional forces approached and brought the victim ashore safely. After initial first aid, the victim's health was stable and life was not in danger.
Previously, on January 9, the Rescue and Relief Team continuously organized 4 rescue operations, promptly bringing 7 people swept away by waves ashore safely.
According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, the continuous incidents in recent days show that the situation of big waves, rough seas and dangerous currents on Nha Trang Sea is still complicated, posing high risks for people and tourists.
Nha Trang Bay Management Board continues to warn and recommend that people and tourists absolutely do not go swimming in the sea when there are big waves and rough seas.
At the same time, strictly comply with the signal flag, warning loudspeaker and guidance of the rescue force to ensure the safety of life for themselves and the community.
