On January 9, the leader of the Rescue and Relief Team of Nha Trang Bay Management Board said that at about 10 am on the same day, at the beach area of Bon Mua Restaurant (Tran Phu street), rescue forces discovered a father and son tourists of Russian nationality swept away by large waves.

Then, at about 11 am at the beach area opposite No. 36 Tran Phu street, rescue forces continued to organize rescue, bringing two other Russian tourists in danger due to large waves ashore safely.
By 1 pm on the same day, at the beach area opposite Nguyen Chanh street, rescuers promptly discovered and rescued two grandmothers and grandchildren who were Vietnamese citizens swept away by sea waves. Rescue forces made efforts to overcome large waves and bring the two victims ashore safely.
Just one hour later, at about 2 pm, at the beach area opposite No. 36 Tran Phu, rescue forces continued to discover a Russian female tourist in danger at sea and quickly brought her ashore.
According to the leader of the Rescue and Relief Team, all 7 rescued cases have stable health and no serious injuries have been recorded.
Faced with the complicated sea weather situation, the Nha Trang Bay Rescue and Rescue Team recommends that people and tourists absolutely do not go swimming in the sea when there are big waves and rough seas.
At the same time, strictly comply with the signal flag, warning loudspeaker and guidance of the rescue force to ensure the safety of life.
Since the beginning of the year, the Rescue and Relief Team has organized timely rescue for many cases of people and tourists in distress when going to sea in high waves.
