In mid-March, after traveling more than 70 km of the winding mountain pass from Lao Cai city to Y Ty commune, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters were present at the shortest bridge in Vietnam connecting with China.
At the time of recording, in the drizzle and freezing weather, many people on the Vietnamese side were transporting goods across the border of the two countries to exchange.
According to local people, Thien Sinh Bridge is special because it crosses a rock crack only over 1 m wide, when passing through the other side of the bridge, it will be in Chinese territory.
Over the years, the bridge has been replaced with a sturdy concrete structure. When observing, it can be seen that in fact, the length of this bridge is about 2-3m long.

Mr. Phu Viet Van (Lao Chai village, Y Ty commune) shared: "This Thien Sinh bridge has been there for many years. Many people in the commune often go to the other side of China to buy and sell goods.
According to Mr. Phu Viet Van, in the language of the Ha Nhi people, Thien Sinh bridge is called Thien San Shu, which means "heavenly life".
Previously, a natural rock passed through a deep stream, below which was Lung Po stream, burrowing white foam.

This is also the border between Vietnam and China. Over time, the rock crossing the deep crack gradually eroded. Therefore, people built wooden bars to make bridges and then built concrete bridges as they are now.
Through research, Thien Sinh Bridge is located at the end of Lao Chai village, about 8 km from the center of Y Ty commune.

Many tourists coming to Lao Cai want to set foot here once to enjoy the nature in the northern border area, especially to step on a small bridge across a stream hundreds of meters deep.
Next to the bridge, the cliff is like a central retaining wall, separated by blue sky on one side and terraced fields on the other.
Standing on the bridge looking down, people with strong nerves feel dizzy, because under the deep cliff is Lung Po stream, which day and night resounds with waves of water rushing into the rock.

From below, you can see the cliff standing nearly a hundred meters high, in the middle of the water stream as if a horse was waiting, waving, "waving" down heavily.
Although not as famous as other tourist destinations in Lao Cai such as Sa Pa or Bac Ha, Thien Sinh Bridge is still an attractive destination for those who love to explore and conquer new lands.

The road to the bridge is quite difficult, tourists have to cross rough, steep dirt roads and cross the mountains and forests. However, it is this wildness and challenge that increases the attractiveness of the bridge to many tourists.
Through research, Lao Cai province has been investing in upgrading many routes leading to Y Ty tourist commune such as projects: renovating Ban Xeo - Den Sang - Y Ty, Trinh Tuong - Y Ty, Muong Hum - Den Sang - Sang Ma Sao roads...
After completion and putting into use, these routes are expected to help create momentum for economic development, attracting more tourists to Y Ty.
According to the leader of the Bat Xat District Construction Investment Project Management Board, many traffic projects in Y Ty commune and Bat Xat district will be completed and handed over for use in June 2025.
