With the widespread effect of the Earth Hour event, promoting the implementation results over the years, in March 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched the movement "All people save energy to respond to Earth Hour 2025" with the message "Green transition - Green future".
In order to create high propaganda efficiency and strong influence, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recommends:
People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities
- Organize communication activities to call on the entire population to accompany the Government in practicing energy saving in response to Earth Hour in 2025. (The propaganda documentary conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade is posted on the Electronic Information page www.tietkiemnangluong.com.vn, Media Publications section).
- Deploy activities to call on the entire population to accompany the Government in practicing energy saving and responding to Earth Hour in 2025 combined with the local Power Savings Program to implement Directive No. 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on increasing power savings in the period of 2023-2025 and the following years.
- Mobilize organizations, agencies and people to turn off lights and unnecessary equipment during the Earth Hour Outcome event. The event turned off the lights for an hour in response to Earth Hour from 20:30 to 9:30, Saturday, March 22, 2025.
- Mobilize organizations, agencies and people to participate in the race in response to the movement "All people save energy to respond to Earth Hour 2025" online at https://tapchicongthuong.vn/. The race will be held from March 8, 2025 to March 31, 2025.
Units under and directly under the Ministry of Industry and Trade
a) For Departments, Departments and Institute
- Conduct propaganda to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to accompany the Government in practicing energy saving and responding to Earth Hour 2025.
- Launching cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to participate in the Online Contest to learn about safe and economical use of electricity in response to Earth Hour 2025. The organization period is from March 8 to 28, 2025. join the contest at www.tietkiemnangluong.com.vn.
- Launching cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to participate in the race in person in Hanoi (Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street, Nguyen Du Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City) on the morning of March 8, 2025 and participating in the race online at the QR code address. The race will be held from March 8, 2025 to March 31, 2025.
b) For universities and colleges
- Organize propaganda to students to accompany the Government to practice energy saving and respond to Earth Hour 2025.

Vietnam Electricity Group
a) Surveying training needs and organizing skills training, disseminating documents to promote energy-saving and efficient use
- Direct affiliated units to conduct online surveys.
- Bachelor's degree in contributing to the development of a document to promote energy-saving and efficient use in families, offices, buildings and propaganda activities for students.
- Coordinate the organization of training activities in the Northern region. Expected in March 2025.
- Coordinate the organization of the contest "electricity-saving propagandists".
b) Propaganda calling on all people to accompany the Government to practice energy saving and respond to Earth Hour 2025

- Mobilize organizations, agencies and customers to turn off lights and unnecessary equipment during the Earth Hour 2025 Out of Light event.
- Direct the Corporation and Power Companies of provinces and cities to respond to Earth Hour 2025 to disseminate propaganda at customer transaction locations and headquarters of power units in March 2025.
- Ensuring power grid safety during the event.
- Synthesize and report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the results of 1 hour of turning off the light in response to Earth Hour 2025 in Vietnam.
