On the morning of August 21, Cat Khanh Border Guard Station, Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with local fishing boats to promptly rescue 12 fishermen on fishing boat GL-99322-TS which was breached and gradually sank at sea.
Previously, at about 5:30 am on the same day, Cat Khanh Border Guard Station received an urgent report from Mr. Cao Thanh P. (44 years old, residing in Hoai Nhon ward, Gia Lai province), captain of fishing vessel GL-99322-TS.

According to Mr. P., at about 5:10 am on August 21, while operating in the area about 5 nautical miles from De Gi estuary in the Northeast direction, ship GL-99322-TS suddenly broke water. Water quickly flooded into the hold, causing the ship to gradually sink, threatening the lives of 12 crew members.
Immediately after receiving the news, Cat Khanh Border Guard Station reported to the Command of Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard, and urgently deployed a rescue plan. The unit coordinated to mobilize 2 fishing boats GL-30036-TS and BD-93724-TS operating near the accident area to approach and rescue.
Thanks to timely support, all 12 crew members on ship GL-99322-TS were transferred to ship GL-30036-TS safely, with stable health.
Fishing vessel GL-99322-TS is 22.6m long, 910CV capacity, engaged in purse seine fishing. The vessel owner is Mr. Huynh Van T. (64 years old, residing in Hoai Nhon ward, Gia Lai province). The vessel departed at 9:35 pm on August 20 at Tam Quan Border Guard Station.
