On the evening of October 7, Colonel Hoang Minh Hung - Commander of the Hue City Border Guard Command said that the unit is coordinating with forces to search for a missing crew member at sea after a collision between a fishing boat and a cargo ship.
Initial information, at about 15.15 on the same day, a cargo ship (trip from Binh Dinh to Thanh Hoa) when moving to a location about 8 nautical miles from Thuan An estuary collided with a fishing boat with registration number TTH 962XX TS, captained by Mr. Van Vy (residing in Thuan An Ward, Hue City).
At the time of the accident, there were 4 crew members on the fishing boat. After the collision, the fishing boat sank. The Hue City Border Guard force coordinated with fishing boats near the area to rescue 3 people, 1 crew member is still missing.
Immediately after the incident, a rescue ship of Squadron 2 was dispatched to the scene to assist in the search. Rescue work is continuing to be urgently deployed.
