The status of Phan Port of filling has occurred for a long time, but for many years, it has not been dredged with channels, leading to a channel that has been narrowed in the seaport. Regarding the specifications of Phan Thiet maritime channel with the actual depth of only about 0.6 m and the spinning puddle only reaches a depth of 1.1 m of water. To clear the channel, it is necessary to dredge about 120,000 m3.

However, to dredge and clear maritime routes, a project must be established and the authorities and localities must carry out many procedures according to regulations, including determining the location of the dumping site after dredging.
