The leader of the People's Committee of Huong Thuy commune (Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh) said that at around 2:00 p.m. on November 13, passenger train SE7 was on its way from Hanoi station to Saigon station when it derailed about 2km from Chu Le station (Huong Thuy commune).
The incident did not cause any casualties but caused local railway congestion.
After the incident, authorities were present at the scene to handle the incident and clarify the cause of the incident.
Passengers on train SE7 were then assisted by cars to move to Chu Le station to wait to continue their journey to the South.
