On January 21, news from the Naval Region 2 Command said that Truong Sa 10 ship (Squadron 1, Brigade 125) promptly maneuvered to rescue a fishing boat of Khanh Hoa fishermen that encountered a serious incident in Truong Sa waters on January 20.
The distressed fishing boat numbered KH 92259 TS, with 8 crew members on board, captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong (residing in Khanh Hoa).
During seafood exploitation in the north-northwest sea area of Da Lat Island (Truong Sa archipelago), about 48 nautical miles from the island, the fishing boat suddenly broke down its gearbox and completely lost its mobility.

At the time of the incident, the sea area had Northeast wind level 6, big waves, strong sea waves, posing a high risk of unsafety for fishing boats and crew members.
Faced with the dangerous situation, the captain of ship KH 92259 TS promptly contacted and requested functional forces to provide emergency support.
Immediately after receiving the dispatch order from the Naval Region 2 Command, officers and soldiers of Truong Sa 10 ship quickly maneuvered to approach the area where the fishing boat encountered an accident.
Task forces have organized safe access, technical support and deployed plans to tow fishing boats to safe shelters.
At 7:30 am on January 21, Truong Sa 10 ship successfully towed fishing vessel KH 92259 TS to Da Lat island, handing it over safely to the forces on the island.
Currently, the health of all officers and soldiers of Truong Sa 10 ship and 8 crew members of the fishing boat are stable, and the spirit is at peace.
The technical incident of the fishing boat is being coordinated by functional forces to inspect and overcome, creating conditions for fishermen to soon stabilize production and continue to stick to the sea.
