On the evening of February 16, the Command of Naval Region 2 organized an online Tet greeting program, connecting from the Region Command to affiliated units, DK1 rigs and ships on duty at sea.
Attending were Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Quan - Commander of Naval Region 2; Rear Admiral Tran Manh Chien - Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 and representatives of relatives of officers and soldiers working offshore.

In a warm atmosphere, Rear Admiral Tran Manh Chien read the New Year greeting letter of the Minister of National Defense and the Party Committee, the Navy Command; and reviewed the outstanding results that Region 2 achieved in the past year. Each achievement is associated with the efforts, sense of responsibility and persistent will of officers and soldiers, especially the force that is day and night sticking to the sea, maintaining sovereignty.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Quan visited and inquired about the living situation and Tet preparations of units at sea, emphasizing the increasingly high requirements in the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty. Leaders of Region 2 believe that officers and soldiers of offshore platforms and on-duty ships will continue to promote the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Navy, unite, maintain political bravery, improve training quality, maintain strict combat readiness, and not be passive or surprised in any situation.
Although far from the mainland, in each offshore platform, each ship, the Tet atmosphere is still present through apricot branches, peach branches, green banh chung pots and high combat spirit. At the meeting, representatives of relatives sent wishes and encouragement from the rear, adding more faith so that they can feel secure in their work, firmly steer their steering wheels and guns.

From the bridge points in the middle of the sea, Captain Tran Van Hau - Political Commissar of Truong Sa 02 ship and Major Le Ky Lam - Commander of DK1/18 rig reported on the situation of enjoying Spring and welcoming Tet thoughtfully, safely, and in accordance with regulations; and affirmed the determination of the entire unit to be assured in their work, maintain high combat readiness, and firmly protect the sacred sea, island, and continental shelf sovereignty of the Fatherland during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
