Alcohol and beer abuse reduces observation and reflex ability, increasing the risk of losing control of vehicles. This not only violates the law but also directly increases the risk of serious traffic accidents.
In addition, acts of driving vehicles at excessive speed, encroaching on lanes, reckless overtaking, not keeping a safe distance... are also the main causes leading to many collisions and accidents. According to statistics, during holidays and Tet, most serious accidents originate from acts of not complying with traffic signals, speeding, reckless overtaking, causing surprise to other vehicles and unsafety for traffic participants.
Major Luu Doan Hung, officer of Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, said that in addition to strengthening inspection and handling of alcohol concentration violations, violations that are the cause of traffic accidents are also strictly handled according to regulations.
Through handling, it shows that, besides people strictly complying with regulations on traffic order and safety, there are still some cases of alcohol concentration violations. Although the level of violation is low, driving with alcohol concentration in the breath is an act of violating the law on traffic order and safety and needs to be handled and prevented.
