Nội dung thanh tra tập trung vào việc chấp hành các quy định pháp luật trong quản lý nhà nước về khoáng sản, bao gồm hoạt động thăm dò, khai thác, tận thu và thu hồi khoáng sản.
The subjects of inspection are the Department of Agriculture and Environment, sectors, localities and organizations licensed to operate minerals in Quang Tri province. The inspection period is 45 working days.
This move takes place in the context of mineral management in Quang Tri province being tightened. Previously, from January 5, 2026, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee temporarily suspended the issuance of dredging and mineral recovery permits at irrigation lakes.
The reason for temporarily suspending licensing is that after the merger of the province, the coordination, order, and procedures for dredging irrigation reservoir beds combined with harvesting for filling materials have created some differences between the two old localities. In addition, many legal regulations directly related to irrigation, dam safety, reservoirs and mineral harvesting activities are in the process of reviewing, amending, and supplementing.
The Provincial Inspectorate's involvement is expected to contribute to clarifying management responsibilities, promptly detecting and handling violations (if any), and strengthening legal discipline in the field of minerals.
