According to initial information, at about 5:30 pm on January 29, Uyen Nhi rode a pink bicycle from her house to the Lam River bank area to find her grandfather who was farming nearby. In the evening of the same day, not seeing her return, the family organized a search and reported it to the authorities.
After that, his bicycle was discovered on the bank of the Lam River. Suspecting something unusual, functional forces and local people deployed searches on the river. Many charity teams in Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa also mobilized canoes and vehicles to support the search.
By the morning of February 1st, Uyen Nhi's body was found floating on the water, in the area near the North-South expressway bridge across the Lam River, bordering Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
According to local people, Uyen Nhi's family is in difficult circumstances, her father has a serious illness. When the body was brought ashore, many people could not hide their pain.
The police agency is completing the necessary procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements according to local customs.
