On November 26, the Khanh Hoa Province Association of Architects announced a public competition for the architectural design of Phu Kieng Bridge, Vinh Ngoc Commune, Nha Trang City.
The contestants include consulting units with sufficient capacity, experience and all conditions are entitled to participate in the contest. Each consulting unit can only participate in one consortium, the consortium minutes must specify a unit or individual with primary responsibility and must be sent to the contest organizing unit.
The organizers said that they are expected to announce the results of the contest in the first quarter of 2025, with the first prize worth 150 million VND; second prize worth 100 million VND; third prize worth 50 million VND and two consolation prizes worth 20 million VND.
Previously, at the end of October 2024, Nha Trang City People's Council agreed on the investment policy for 18 projects with a total capital of 644 billion VND. Notably, in the list of approved projects this time, there is the project to build Phu Kieng bridge, Vinh Ngoc commune with an investment capital of nearly 600 billion VND.
Phu Kieng Bridge, Vinh Ngoc Commune will be invested by Nha Trang City People's Committee with a total capital of nearly 600 billion VND (70% from the provincial budget and 30% from the city budget). The Phu Kieng Bridge construction project will be implemented in the period of 2024-2027.
The project aims to facilitate people's travel needs, develop infrastructure, connect traffic from the southern region to the northern region of the city, and develop urban areas.
Currently, Phu Kieng wooden bridge was built by local people more than 22 years ago. During its operation, the bridge has seriously degraded due to termites and damage, so the locality plans to build a new bridge with reinforced concrete.
People in the three villages of Xuan Ngoc, Hon Nghe 1, Hon Nghe 2 in Vinh Ngoc commune, Nha Trang city, want to go to the commune center through Phu Kieng wooden bridge built by a local. Traveling through this wooden bridge is tolled and has existed for many years.
