On December 18, Cau Giay Ward (Hanoi) held a Conference to deploy plans to overcome 5 major bottlenecks in the ward and deploy site clearance (GPMB) work on Ring Road 2.5.
Chairman of Cau Giay Ward People's Committee Ngo Ngoc Phuong said that the current 5 major bottlenecks include: Traffic congestion; flooding; urban order; environmental sanitation and air pollution; food safety. These are all issues that directly affect the daily life of the people and the quality of urban development.
In the context of rapid urbanization, high population density, encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business, spontaneous markets, and illegal vehicle parking still occur in many areas, causing public outrage. The implementation of this plan not only has immediate significance but also opens up new development space, contributing to promoting socio-economic growth and improving the quality of life of local people.
Cau Giay Ward has assigned specific tasks to each force and each locality, with the close participation of Party cell secretaries, heads of residential groups, and grassroots security forces.
Along with that, the ward deployed forces to maintain urban order at school gates, remove street markets, rearrange sidewalks, and resolutely prevent prolonged problems, recurrence or new hot spots in the area, especially traffic congestion and local flooding.
Environmental sanitation and air pollution reduction work has been implemented by the ward in sync with solutions to strengthen monitoring of waste sources, maintain general cleaning campaigns, build a "green - clean lane" model, and effectively classify waste at source.
Regarding the site clearance of the Ring Road 2.5, Chairman of Ngo Ngoc Phuong Ward People's Committee emphasized that this is a key, urgent political task, of great significance to the development of transport infrastructure and socio-economics.
The ward will focus on moving the tombs in the section from Cau Giay to Dich Vong New Urban Area to Vinh Hang - Ba Vi Ecological Cemetery, to be completed in the first months of 2026 in accordance with regulations; ensuring publicity, transparency, and compliance with the law.
To synchronously, effectively and sustainably implement tasks, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Cau Giay Ward People's Council Tran Thi Phuong Hoa suggested that the entire political system clearly identify this as a key, regular political task; promote the role and responsibility of the leader. The direction and management must comply with the principle of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear progress, clear results".
The ward will promote propaganda and mobilization work, creating consensus among the people according to the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit". The role of residential groups, socio-political organizations and prestigious people in the community continues to be promoted, especially in the site clearance work of the Ring Road 2.5 - a project that has been stalled for many years, affecting traffic, the environment and urban order in the area.
