HÀ ANH CHIẾN |

Dong Nai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposes to strive to technically open roads 25B and 25C (more than 11 km long) in June 2026, connecting Long Thanh airport.

On March 7, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee just announced the conclusion of Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the field inspection of compensation and site clearance for the 25B road upgrade project and the 25C road construction project.

These are 2 transportation projects that are very important in connecting Long Thanh airport with Ho Chi Minh City.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Land Fund Development Center (provincial level and branches) and the People's Committees of communes to urgently complete the approval of compensation plans, complete site clearance, and hand over land to investors in March 2026.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to direct contractors to mobilize sufficient manpower, machinery, and materials, promote overtime, increase construction shifts "3 shifts, 4 shifts". At the same time, have solutions to transfer the construction volume of contractors who are behind schedule and supplement subcontractors to speed up construction progress, striving for technical traffic opening in June 2026.

The project to upgrade road 25B from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51 is more than 9 km long, with a total investment of 1,493 billion VND, started in December 2024. Currently, the handed-over land area has reached about 70% of the total area. The project implementation value currently reaches about 44% of the signed contract value.

The 25C Road Construction Project (from National Highway 51 to Huong Lo 19) has a length of 2.65 km, with a total investment of more than 647 billion VND. The project has only been handed over about 35% of the land area, and the project implementation value has only reached about 0.5% of the signed contract value.

According to the plan, provincial roads 25B and 25C will connect Long Thanh airport through National Highway 51 to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, Ring Road 3 HCMC, reducing the load on the HCMC - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.

To serve traffic connection with Long Thanh airport in Dong Nai province, 8 road construction investment projects are being implemented. Among them, 4 projects have started construction work, including: Component Project 1 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project; Component Project 3 - Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project; Road 25B upgrade project (section from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51) and Road 25C Construction Project (section from National Highway 51 to Huong Lo 19).
