In fact, payment of medical examination and treatment costs for health insurance participants
According to Vietnam Social Security, participants are paid from 80-100% of medical examination and treatment costs (KCB) according to the benefits and benefits of the health insurance card.
Weak groups (children under 6 years old, poor, near-poor, ethnic minorities...) are always guaranteed by the State to support health insurance participation costs.

From 2020 to August 2025, 41,188 patients have been covered by the health insurance fund with from 500 million to over 2 billion VND in medical examination and treatment costs with a total expenditure of more than 33,000 billion VND.
There is a typical case - a patient in Vinh Long province is paid for medical examination and treatment costs of up to nearly 28 billion VND; the main disease is: lack of genetic factor VIII; acute throat inflammation; open wounds in unspecific and other parts of the abdomen, etc.
